Skendleby Hall is a magnificent English Grade ll listed country house available for bed and breakfast. This beautiful large mansion is situated within the Lincolnshire Wolds and has far reaching views across gently rolling countryside. It is ideal for families, couples, celebrations, corporate functions, small wedding parties or just a get together with your friends. We have a private beauty therapy room at the house, why not treat yourself to a half or full day pampering session. Every room in Skendleby Hall has its own character and each one is tastefully furnished to 5 standard. The hall includes:- A beautiful large drawing room which has many original features- 3 additional reception rooms, one with Sky TV and DVD player- 2 kitchens- A large dining room- A full size snooker table- An air hockey table- Table tennis- Table football- Childrens play room- Sauna- Large grounds with football nets on the lawnAccommodationWe have 8 bedrooms for Bed and Breakfast comprising:Master Bedroom - A beautiful room with large bay window, the original shutters, fireplace and a 4-poster super king size bed. It leads through to the dressing area with range of fitted wardrobes and then into the fully fitted en-suite bathroom with a large bath that has a shower attachment. The Dressing Room - This attractive bedroom has an antique double bed and beautiful soft furnishings. It has its own shower room next door. Guest Room 1 - A lovely room with stunning views over the front garden to the countryside beyond. Two antique single beds and an en-suite with shower. Family Suite - This room has 2 antique single beds and an en-suite bathroom with large shower. It also has an adjoining single room, making it ideal for a family. The Chapel - This is the 2nd principal bedroom with a fully draped 4-poster king size bed. It boasts a beautiful and original stain glass feature and the old holy water font dating from its time as a catholic chapel. The bathroom next door with a shower. The Green Room - Also overlooking the front, with antique double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower.Victorian bedroom 1 - An attractive room with a king size bed and en suite bathroom with bath. Overlooks the Norman Village Church and old yew tree. Victorian bedroom 2 - A beautiful room with a king size bed and a large disabled friendly en-suite with free standing bath and separate shower. It overlooks the Norman Village Church and old yew tree. We have 2 cots which we can set up on request. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to cater for themselves for lunch and dinner. We have plenty of fridge and freezer space and all cooking equipment is supplied. Tea and coffee is supplied in the kitchen. Please note it is a shared kitchen so storage of any food or drink is at your own risk. We ask all residents to leave the kitchen as they found it after use. Alternatively the local pub offers a fantastic menu. The local town of Spilsby is only 4 miles away and has a large choice of restaurants and pubs. Skegness is just 8 miles away and is a great place to visit for a traditional English seaside day out, if you prefer a quieter beach Anderby Creek is just a little further up the coast. Pre-booking is essential. As the house is also used for exclusive hire we ask people to call for bookings.Please note credit or debit card payments are subject to a 3% charge. Otherwise we can accept bank transfers, cheques, (must be paid 2 weeks before arrival). Payment must be made in advance.
